Lie on the floor on your right side with the right arm stretched out and relaxed , bend the left knee forwards , and stretch the right leg out away from the body and place your left hand on your hip with the elbow pointing to the ceiling .

Side leg lift left legIn this exercise lie on your right side with the right arm stretched out along the floor, palm down, bend the right knee forwards and place the left hand on your hip with the elbow pointing towards the ceiling. Your shoulder blade should be back and relaxed, feel your chest open a little, stretch the left leg out along the floor with the foot flexed and toes relaxed. Raise the leg off the floor, no higher than your hip, and gently push out through the heel as you do so and lower the leg to the floor and repeat 5 times. Breathe in to prepare, breath out and raise the top leg as far as the hip. Breathe in and lower the leg to the floor and repeat 5 times.

 

Care Notes

Keep the neck long and relaxed.

Keep the arm that is stretched out relaxed.

Do not lift the leg past the hip.

Keep the elbow towards the ceiling.

Keep a neutral spine throughout the movement.

Your shoulders should be relaxed throughout the movement.

Stop if you feel any discomfort at all.
